Ehlenbach‛s Cheese Chalet carries only the best cheeses. They only carry what people like.

In 2009, Ehlenbach‛s Cheese Chalet celebrated 40 years as a family-owned and operated business started in 1969 by Ralph and Lucille (Sis) Ehlenbach, Brian‛s grandparents, when they purchased Fenlon‛s House of Cheese. Brian and Karie are the third generation to own and operate the business, when in 2002 they fully took over from Brian‛s father, Jim Ehlenbach.

While Brian and Karie have modernized some aspects of the business, they manage to stay true to many of the practices and ideals that make Ehlenbach‛s Cheese Chalet a favored destination by locals and out-of-state visitors alike. They still hand cut the cheeses themselves and they still have many of the same cheese vendors going back to 1972.

And while no cheese is made on-premises, Ehlenbach‛s Cheese Chalet specializes in on-premise cheese aging; purchasing 42-pound blocks of cheese (including cheddar and swiss) and allow them to carefully and tastefully age in on-site coolers. Additionally, they have their own brand of cheese, "Blueberry Harvati" which is made for them by their cheesemaker vendors with whom they have great relationships with.

Ehlenbach‛s Cheese Chalet also prominently offer an astounding variety of other Wisconsin-made products such as maple syrup, honey, wine and more, going so far as tempting visitors with refreshing and delicious Babcock Hall ice cream, which can be eaten on-premises, on the road, or taken home in pints.

And remember, great quality cheeses and other related products aren‛t all they offer.
